Privacy policy
This document explains what happens to the data of anyone who visits dentystawyry.pl. Patient data, meaning medical records and everything connected with treatment, is covered by a separate document: the privacy notice for patients.
Who is responsible for your data
The data controller is ProViDENT PLUS Adam Gawlik, ul. Różana 2, 43-175 Wyry, Poland, tax number (NIP) 635-13-71-630, statistical number (REGON) 276949983. The practice is entered in the Polish register of healthcare providers under register number 000000012845; the registering authority is the Governor of Silesia.
We have not appointed a data protection officer, so please write or call us directly about anything to do with personal data: recepcja@dentystawyry.pl, +48 32 326 06 06.
What happens when you open this site
Simply loading the site causes the server to record technical information about the connection in its logs. This is:
- the IP address of the device you use to connect to the internet
- the address of the page you opened, together with the date and time
- your browser and operating system
- the address of the page that linked you to us, if you arrived from a link
We record this so that the site works properly and so that we can respond to faults and to attempted abuse. The legal basis is our legitimate interest, Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. We do not combine this information with anything that would identify you, and we do not use it to build a visitor profile.
The server logs are kept on our behalf by our hosting provider, with whom we have signed a data processing agreement. We keep them only for as long as we need them to keep the site secure and working correctly.
What this site does NOT do
We think this matters as much as the list of what we do:
- there are no forms here, so we collect nothing through the site
- there are no advertising pixels and no social media plugins
- we do not profile visitors and we make no automated decisions about them
- we do not sell or share data for marketing purposes
- our fonts are hosted on our own server, so opening the site does not send your IP address to a font provider
Browser storage
We do not use cookies for tracking. We do store four small pieces of information in your browser's local storage, purely so that the site behaves the way you set it:
- dw-motyw: whether you prefer the light or the dark appearance
- dw-kontrast: whether you turned high contrast on or off
- dw-ruch: whether you reduced motion on the site
- dw-tempo: whether you prefer the page to be read more slowly
- dw-zgoda-statystyki: whether you agreed to visit statistics
The “Read this page aloud” button uses your browser's speech synthesiser. We pick the best-sounding voice the browser offers. In Chrome and Edge this is usually an online voice: the text being read is then sent to Google's or Microsoft's servers, which turn it into speech and can see your device's IP address. The site itself stores nothing while reading.
Both stay on your device and never reach us. You can remove them at any time by clearing this site's data in your browser settings.
Visit statistics
We do not currently use any analytics tools. The site stores no cookies and does not connect to any other company's servers unless you ask it to.
The map
There is a Google map on the contact page, but it loads only when you click the button. Until then your browser does not connect to Google's servers. Once you click, Google receives your IP address and information about your device, on the terms set out in that company's documents.
Your rights
In relation to the data we process, you have:
- the right of access to your data and to receive a copy of it
- the right to have inaccurate data corrected
- the right to erasure
- the right to restriction of processing
- the right to object to processing based on legitimate interest, that is, to the recording of server logs
- the right to withdraw consent to statistics at any time and without giving a reason, although withdrawal does not affect what happened before it
To exercise any of these, simply write to us or call.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority, which is the President of the Personal Data Protection Office, ul. Stawki 2, 00-193 Warsaw, Poland.
Changes to this document
If we change the way the site works, we will change this document too. Last updated: 10 September 2026.
