Information on the impact of the activities carried out by the organisational unit

on human health and on the environment

Legal basis: Article 32c(2) of the Atomic Law Act of 29 November 2000 (Journal of Laws 2026, item 1). This statement was prepared on 10 September 2026 and covers the period from 1 September 2025 to 31 August 2026.

The unit operates the following devices that produce ionising radiation:

· intraoral X-ray unit CS 2200 by Carestream, DECISION no. 481/2023
of 24 October 2023,

· panoramic X-ray unit with a CBCT function by Carestream, DECISION no. 482/2023 of 24 October 2023.

The unit holds a permit to bring the X-ray room into use, DECISION no. 480/2023 of 24 October 2023.

Before the X-ray room was brought into use, the distribution of the X-ray dose around the equipment was measured. The results showed that the ionising radiation dose limit
does not exceed 0.5 mSv per year for publicly accessible rooms and 3 mSv per year for rooms of the X-ray facility outside the surgery.

The unit is subject to inspection by the Silesian Voivodeship State Sanitary Inspector in Katowice,
40-957 Katowice, ul. Raciborska 39, Radiation Hygiene Department.

At the same time, under the Regulation of the Council of Ministers of 30 November 2020 on the protection
of outside workers from ionising radiation during work in a controlled or supervised area (Dz.U. 2020, item 2313) and the Regulation of the Council of Ministers
of 30 November 2020 amending the regulation on the detailed conditions for safe work
with sources of ionising radiation (Dz.U. 2020, item 2300), the X-ray room in the unit named above
is a supervised area.

The unit monitors staff exposure through environmental dosimetry, ID:899
INSTYTUT FIZYKI JĄDROWEJ LABORATORIUM DOZYMETRII (Institute of Nuclear Physics, Dosimetry Laboratory), ul. Radzikowskiego 152, 31-342 Kraków.
The measured effective dose was <0.10 mSv, and the staff are classified in ionising radiation exposure category "B".

Ionising radiation dose limits are set out in Annex 4 to the Atomic Law Act.

The permitted level of exposure to ionising radiation is:

- workers: 20 mSv per year;

- the general public: 1 mSv per year.

Please note:

• on the basis of the measured and calculated doses, it is established that the activity

carried out over the past 12 months has had no adverse effect on human health or the environment.

• The X-ray room does not release radioactive substances into the environment.
